So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The Creator chose for our first parents the surroundings best adapted for their health and happiness. He did not place them in a palace or surround them with the artificial adornments and luxuries that so many today are struggling to obtain. He placed them in close touch with nature and in close communion with the holy ones of heaven.
In the garden that God prepared as a home for His children, graceful shrubs and delicate flowers greeted the eye at every turn. There were trees of every variety, many of them laden with fragrant and delicious fruit. On their branches the birds caroled their songs of praise. Under their shadow the creatures of the earth sported together without a fear.
The pure air, the glad sunshine, the flowers and trees, the orchards and vineyards, and outdoor exercise amid these surroundings, are health-giving, life-giving. ... Exercise in the open air should be prescribed as a life-giving necessity.
The more cheerful his surroundings,
KJV Genesis 2:4-9
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth
when they were created,
in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,
and every plant of the field before it was in the earth,
and every herb of the field before it grew:
for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth,
and there was not a man to till the ground.
But there went up a mist from the earth,
and watered the whole face of the ground.
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living soul.
And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden;
and there he put the man whom he had formed.
And out of the ground
made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight,
and good for food;
the tree of life also in the midst of the garden,
and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
And the Lord God took the man,
and put him into the garden of Eden
to dress it and to keep it.
KJV Genesis 2:15
Adam was crowned king in Eden.
To him was given dominion over every living thing that God had created.
The Lord blessed Adam and Eve with intelligence
such as He had not given to any other creature.
He made Adam the rightful sovereign over all the works of His hands.
Man, made in the divine image, could contemplate and appreciate
the glorious works of God in nature.
KJV Revelation 19:9. SD 356.1
To His church, Christ has given ample facilities, that He may receive a large revenue of glory from His redeemed, purchased possession. The church, being endowed with the righteousness of Christ, is His depository, in which the wealth of His mercy, His love, His grace, is to appear in full and final display. The declaration in His intercessory prayer, that the Father’s love is as great toward us as toward Himself, the only-begotten Son, and that we shall be with Him where He is, forever one with Christ and the Father, is a marvel to the heavenly host, and it is their great joy. The gift of His Holy Spirit, rich, full, and abundant, is to be to His church as an encompassing wall of fire, which the powers of hell shall not prevail against. In their untainted purity and spotless perfection, Christ looks upon His people as the reward of all His suffering, His humiliation, and His love, and the supplement of His glory, — Christ, the great center from which radiates all glory. “Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.” SD 356.3
