Hello my fellow bookworms!

Who doesn’t love a feast? and a marriage feast at that!
Who shall be richly fed? as we continue reading on in: the Desire of Ages;
with the following chapter..
15. At the Marriage Feast
📖 http://www.ellenwhite.info/books/ellen-g-white-book-desire-of-ages-da-15.htm

I pray when you come to read these inspired writings,
and may you also pray, that God may Bless your time with Him.
Happy reading!

I really enjoyed this chapter for what I learnt from it. The symbolism of the miracle, the representation of the marriage union, the example for social gatherings sanction - and all found in our Christ  #PraiseGod

My fave quotes from the fifteenth chapter: At the Marriage Feast..
📚 It was by personal contact and association that Jesus trained His disciples. Sometimes He taught them, sitting among them on the mountainside; sometimes beside the sea, or walking with them by the way, He revealed the mysteries of the kingdom of God. He did not sermonize as men do today. Wherever hearts were open to receive the divine message, He unfolded the truths of the way of salvation. He did not command His disciples to do this or that, but said, “Follow Me.” On His journeys through country and cities He took them with Him, that they might see how He taught the people. He linked their interest with His, and they united with Him in the work. DA 152.1
📚 The example of Christ in linking Himself with the interests of humanity should be followed by all who preach His word, and by all who have received the gospel of His grace. We are not to renounce social communion. We should not seclude ourselves from others. In order to reach all classes, we must meet them where they are. They will seldom seek us of their own accord. Not alone from the pulpit are the hearts of men touched by divine truth. There is another field of labor, humbler, it may be, but fully as promising. It is found in the home of the lowly, and in the mansion of the great; at the hospitable board, and in gatherings for innocent social enjoyment. DA 152.2

I found encouragement in this chapter for all that Strangers and Pilgrims is: Bible study, PT expression sessions, sharing platform, social gatherings, reading group, prayer group, Sabbath fellowship - a brethrenship just doing life together.
#ThankYouGod  #AMEN  💖  #familyinChrist

..and prayers for our borders to ever increase!

Blessings, Lani.
Look forward to hearing your favourite quotes!

😃 thank you for your input as many of your comments were the same as l was thinking 🤔
Interesting that these days they are trying to tear down the institution of marriage and yet Christ honoured it by His presence and performed His first miracle there!!
Page 149 At the first feast........with a healthful appetite gives us the temperance message on alcoholic beverages.
Pages 145,146,147 have woven throughout how Christ loved and respected His mother but on page 147 There was danger.....He bids us walk. Christ's mission came first!!
Interesting also how a certain church gives people salvation through Mary but page 147/2 The only hope ....on an equality with Him.
So many gems of truth in this chapter 💕
Praise God!

    the Desire of Ages

After the Bible, this book has been the most important book to getting close to Christ. You will absolutely get chills reading this book on the life of Christ, and you WILL have a deeper relationship with our Saviour!
A curator for religious books at the Library of Congress says that this is the best portrayal of the life of Jesus he has ever come across.
The Desire of Ages is recommended also by Pr Doug Batchelor for those who want to know more about Jesus and find salvation 💝
