STRANGERS AND PILGRIMS

the meets

Special meetings are held for those who are interested in present truths and who need instruction. To these meetings the people are invited, and all, both believers and unbelievers, have opportunity to ask questions on points not fully understood. All are given an opportunity to speak of their perplexities. In all the sermons and in all the Bible studies, the people will see that on every point a plain “Thus saith the Lord” is given for the faith and doctrines which we advocate. [EV 153.2]

Sabbath Fellowship

In singing bird and opening blossom, in rain and sunshine, in summer breeze and gentle dew, in ten thousand objects in nature, from the oak of the forest to the violet that blossoms at its root, is seen the love that restores. And nature still speaks to us of God’s goodness. Ed 101.3
The Father's love for humanity provides an endless theme for contemplation and study. From the great sacrifice of giving His Son, to the calling we have as His children on earth, the study of His love for us personally will encourage and guide us on our upward journey.
S + P holds church fellowship in nature once a month for a truly delightful Sabbath day of rest; not just for the body, but also mind and soul.

FELLOWSHIP WITH US IN NATURE

hub study

Prophets and priests, kings and apostles, parade though the inspired pages of the Holy Bible. As we come together to study His Word we find decisive moments in salvation history, and learn how the lessons of the past illuminate our future. In the exploits and failures of saints and sinners we find counsel, comfort and hope for today; a passing of the torch so that the same faith that blazed in God's servants of old might burn anew in us.
S + P is blessed with the below Bible study locations for the furthering of His Kingdom.

prayer power

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.
Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church;
and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick,
and the Lord shall raise him up;
and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Confess your faults one to another,
and pray one for another,
that ye may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

music ministry

Jesus carried into His labor cheerfulness and tact. It requires much patience and spirituality to bring Bible religion into the home life and into the workshop, to bear the strain of worldly business, and yet keep the eye single to the glory of God. This is where Christ was a helper. He was never so full of worldly care as to have no time or thought for heavenly things. Often He expressed the gladness of His heart by singing psalms and heavenly songs. Often the dwellers in Nazareth heard His voice raised in praise and thanksgiving to God. He held communion with heaven in song; and as His companions complained of weariness from labor, they were cheered by the sweet melody from His lips. His praise seemed to banish the evil angels, and, like incense, fill the place with fragrance. The minds of His hearers were carried away from their earthly exile, to the heavenly home. DA 73.3
S + P delights in music's soothing balm to the soul; taking also every opportunity given to share it with those who are weary from labour.

community care

The Saviour has given His precious life in order to establish a church capable of ministering to the suffering, the sorrowful, and the tempted. A company of believers may be poor, uneducated, and unknown; yet in Christ they may do a work in the home, in the community, and even in the “regions beyond,” whose results shall be as far-reaching as eternity. ChS 13.4
S + P looks to Jesus as the only pattern for true purpose in this life: supreme love for God, and love for our neighbour as ourselves.
We shall find His footprints beside the sickbed, in the hovels of poverty, in the crowded alleys of the great cities, and in every place where there are human hearts in need of consolation. MH 105.5
HELP SERVE THE Community

reading room

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. KJV Romans 12:2-5
S + P journeys together in the reading of a chosen book, and each week meets in a virtual setting to share the blessings received that week.
